Plan room quantities, wastage and the cost of full tile boxes.
In your browserChoose your floor shape, then enter its measurements. Add another floor area if needed.
Enter the size printed on your tile box. Length and width stay visible while you calculate.
Sizes above are examples, not verified product specifications. Confirm your own box label.
Use your own final quoted prices, including any applicable taxes. No market price is supplied. Up to 2 decimal places; maximum LKR 1 billion per price.
Compare the same tile and finish only. The estimate excludes anything you have not included in your quotes, such as adhesive, grout or labour.

Net floor area: 12 m² · Extra tiles from box rounding: 3First floor area only · straight grid without grout lines
An area estimate can require a partial tile or box. Suppliers often sell whole boxes, so the budget multiplies the rounded-up box count by your quoted box price, then adds your entered charges.
Only if they contain the same tile and finish. A cheaper box may contain fewer tiles. Compare the full quantity and total cost for this project, including charges, rather than the sticker price alone.
No. It illustrates a straight grid on the first rectangle only. Real floors have cuts, grout and possible offcut reuse. The purchase result uses total net area, extra allowance and full boxes. Confirm the final layout and box coverage with your supplier.
Choose L-shape to subtract a missing corner from an outer rectangle. For other irregular straight-edged floors, choose Custom shape and enter the X/Y coordinates of each corner in boundary order, measured from one origin. Crossed or zero-area outlines are rejected. You can also add separate floor areas. No layout or cutting optimization is implied.
Area figures show up to 6 decimal places. Whole tile and box counts use exact decimal fractions before rounding up.
Calculate each selected floor shape area, subtract any untiled area in m² and add the net areas. Apply waste, then divide by the tile face area and round up to whole tiles. Divide by tiles per box and round up again. For a circle, the area uses an approximation of π.
This is an area-based purchase estimate. It pools tiles across rooms and does not plan rows, grout joints, patterns, cuts or reusable offcuts. Grout joints are ignored, which can increase the area-based tile count. Diagonal layouts, narrow strips and fragile tiles may need more waste. Check a layout and your supplier’s stated box coverage before ordering.
